COLLABORATION WITH TPAS

International School Maximilian based in Skopje, North Macedonia and The Peace Attitude Schools based in Wah Cantt, Taxila, Pakistan have signed a memorandum of collaboration in the school year of 2021/22.

The two schools are IB PYP schools and share a common idea – international mindedness and quality education. Even though the schools operate in different parts of the world, the schools’ leaders say that they are “Connecting Worlds Through Education”.

The common goal of this collaboration is for both schools to share the resources and knowledge in the #IB #education and to foster the programme in both countries. This is a first collaboration of this kind and unique in its core.

How will the students and parents community benefit from it?

The school leaders have created a collaborative planning for the teachers and other staff. The staff members have joined forces to plan the learning process and the Units of Inquiry together.
Moreover, students from the same age groups together with their homeroom teachers join for workshops to empower the international mindedness.

TPAS and International School Maximilian share most of their ideology and are close with their learning philosophies.

Following to this blog post, please read a part of Saira Bano’s welcome speech. Ms. Bano is the Founder and Head of School of TPAS.

What does this collaboration mean for all the stakeholders?

“As the new head of school, I will be in charge of promoting the educational achievement of all the children at International School Maximilian. I will play a vital safeguarding role in respect of liaising with our schools about the wellbeing of the children in particular, as well as their education. My core mission, which is best summed up in the question I have at the heart of my work: “if this were my child, would this be good enough for them?” Nothing less than a resounding ‘yes’ will do in answer to that question.

I have a shared responsibility for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment that meets the approved curricula and mission of both schools.

Working in collaboration with the PYP Coordinator and staff, we will provide a vision, mission, and purpose for the schools that connects IB standards and practices with national standards and curricula. I hope to provide consistent and accurate information to the community regarding the IBPYP. As the head of school, I will provide instructional leadership to ensure teachers understand current best practices.

To join the TPAS & ISM is to become part of something special. Our mission, and indeed our greatest joy, is to offer our children a transformative educational experience. It is, by turns, exhilarating, challenging, hilarious, gratifying, creative, and invigorating.”

Welcome!
